**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Scope & Purpose:
To take charge and ownership of the Stores and Warehouse. To manage and control the overall movement, allocation, and flow of Inventory, Buyout goods, Raw Materials, and Consumables within the company. To manage the Receiving, Dispatching, Delivery, Import and Export processes. To comply and implement Sound Policies, Processes and Procedures within the Stores and Warehouse department. To maintain the Highest Standards of Documentation, Record keeping, and Quality Control of Inventory and Materials with the Stores and Warehouse department.

Duties & Responsibilities

**Inventory Management**:

- Create and implement stock control systems, bin locations, stock allocation systems.
- Maintain and manage the packing of stock shelves in the designated bin locations.
- Manage the receiving and dispatching of goods.
- Manage the storing and handling of stock within designated storage areas.
- Maintain and manage minimum and maximum stocking levels.
- Carry out regular stock takes, periodic counts, cycle counts and random spot stock checks, to ensure that Inventory figures are live and up to date on the ERP system.
- Manage the picking and allocation of materials for jobs in the Work-In-Progress (WIP) area.
- Manage material requisitions, cutting lists, daily material and consumable issues and returns to and from the factory floor.
- Carry out Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for Projects, Production and Manufacturing jobs.
- Mark, allocate, and issue stock for Manufacturing and Jobbing processes.
- Process good receipt vouchers (GRV) and supplier return notes (RTS) against purchase orders / supplier invoices.
- Process merchandise and non-merchandise goods receipt vouchers (GRV) for landed cost tracking of imported goods.
- Maintain the control of deliveries and collections of goods to 3rd party suppliers and service providers.
- Organise and arrange collections from suppliers as required.
- Generate delivery notes, dispatch notes, packing lists and all other necessary documents required to keep record and control of inventory movement.
- Generate monthly reports for Inventory movements, Stock adjustments, Stock valuations, and other necessary periodic reports for Management decision making.

**Quality Control**:

- Manage and enforce the Quality Control requirements of goods and materials when receiving and dispatching.
- Manage the quarantining of materials for Quality Inspections.
- Manage the identification tracking, tagging, serial numbering, and lot traceability of materials.
- Manage the labelling and marking of inventory, raw materials, and finished goods.

**Logistics and Shipping**:

- Prepare and arrange the packaging, crating, labelling, marking, and indexing of goods for export shipping. Mange the building of crates where required.
- Organise and arrange BV inspections for Export jobs.
- Compile and complete documentation such as Clearing Instructions, Export Instructions, Packing lists, Dispatch notes, Labelling, and Waybills for local deliveries, Sea Freight, Road Freight, and Airfreight goods.
- Organise and arrange the collection of goods with Agents and Transporters for exports.

**General**:

- Maintain the flow of supplier invoices, delivery notes, dispatch notes, collection notes, and other related documents in the operations.
- Sort, organise, and filing of documents.
- Maintain general housekeeping of store areas.

Carry out general admin and ad-hoc duties as required to ensure proper and efficient functionality of the Stores and Warehouse department.

**Work Experience**:

- 3-5 years minimum working experience, preferably within the Steel, Metal and Engineering Industries.
- Experience with valve manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Experience with pipe fabrication will be an added advantage.
- Experience with any other Steel Manufacturing and Engineering industry will be an added advantage.

**Skills Requirements**:

- Experience with an ERP Accounting system such as Sage, Pastel, Syspro, Palladium etc.
- Strong understanding of General Accounting Principles
- Must be computer literate.
- Strong foundation in numeric and mathematical literacy.
- Strong understanding of units of measure
- Strong understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes
- Strong knowledge of steel and metal materials
- Strong planning skills and communication skills
- Strong understanding of document management and filing.
- Ability to work well individually and unsupervised.
- Ability to work well with a team.
- Ability to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ability to work well under pressure

**General Requirements**:

- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to operate a forklift will be an added advantage.
