**Introduction **

Medipost is looking for a professional, focused and self-driven individual to join their dynamic Risk Department in a capacity of a Risk Prevention Manager. The successful individual will be placed in Cape Town (Parow Industria).

**Description **

**Primary Purpose of the Job**

To manage the overall security and safety functions of the employers premises and clients. The role entails supporting the business to mitigate any form of risk concerns which may arise on the employers premises/work environment.

**Duties**

**Risk Management and Reporting**
- Ensure a detailed documentation of all risk incidents and projects.
- Continuously liaise with relevant authorities on risk related matters and report to the relevant parties within agreed timelines.
- Continuously assist risk prevention management team and officers to identify higher risk areas and initiate mitigating measures.
- Risk observing, identifying potential risk, managing and reporting on risk to the relevant parties within agreed timelines.
- Continuously develop strategies and processes to better evaluate business specific risk.
- Continuously identify potential risk, unusual, unlikely, likelihood, and emerging risk and implement remedial action within agreed timelines.
- Conduct risk analysis and compliance assessments periodically and report to the relevant parties within agreed timelines.
- Ensure securing of the site, premises and personnel by randomly patrolling buildings and perimeter.
- Randomly inspect buildings, equipment and access points and report any observations out of the norm and implement remedial actions within agreed timelines.
- Continuously record observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities and report to the relevant parties within agreed timelines.
- Continuously oversee monitoring and functionality of CCTV’s and alarms.
- Regularly review utilization and maintenance of risk prevention equipment and report to the relevant parties within agreed timelines.
- Escalate risk observations with remedial actions to the relevant authority within the agreed timelines.
- Analysing security footage when required and submit findings to the relevant party within agreed timelines.
- Performs First Aid or Fire Fighting functions when required.
- Generate reports / spreadsheets with computations and perform analysis of data to identify trends
- Oversee that all site records are maintained and monthly reports completed
- Accurately write and submit security reports;
- Ensure all site records are maintained accurately and monthly reports completed within agreed timelines;
- Write and submit accurate and detailed security reports within agreed timelines
- Ensure Risk Prevention Coordinator (RPC) and Risk Prevention Supervisors (RPS) conduct daily roll call and uniform inspections.
- Monitor and assess posting of RPO’s, RPS’s and RPC.
- Oversee recruitment activities to ensure adequate resources.
- Oversee the design, management and control of shift rosters, relief schedules and duty postings - including leave and transport for RPO’s.
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly/ad-hoc team meetings.
- Oversee the management and allocation of leave requests according to departmental protocols, capturing and maintenance of transactions on ESS.
- Review performance of risk prevention team and conduct probation reviews periodically.
- Oversee monitoring of adherence to the Time and Attendance policy by the risk prevention team
- Review performance and conduct probation reviews on a periodic basis
- Responsible managing department employment relation matter.

**Learning and Development**
- Assist in developing and conducting internal training and risk prevention exercises and assessments with relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for conducting refresher training as and when necessary and maintain accurate records thereof.
- Responsible for identifying and managing all risk prevention training and development needs of the team.
- Conduct / Facilitate training and assessment of risk prevention team on Security Protocols, Policies and Procedures.

**Administration**
- Assist to develop and/or review security and/or risk plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Policies.
- Oversee the administration of maintaining, updating and controlling of keys issued.
- Oversee the management and control money bags.
- Oversee the administration of housekeeping adherence inline with the Company policy and conduct periodically audits.
- Oversee ordering, issuing and management of consumables for the Risk Department within approved budgets.

**Customer Service**
- Maintains organization stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with Company employees, head of departments, clients and visitors.
- Ensure the risk prevention team are customer focused, acting promptly to customer requirements.

- Perform any adhoc duties that may be required by the
