**Introduction **

The Medipost Group Risk Department requires a well presented, disciplined, professional and responsible Senior Risk Prevention Technician registered at PSIRA, that understands the Company risk requirements and execute daily duties to pro-actively curb risk or loss, and enhance risk prevention. The Senior Risk Prevention Technician must be highly observant and must have the ability to objectively identify and communicate risk concerns regarding CCTV issues and other technical matters, either verbally or in writing and reports, has to adapt to any Division’s operational functions and understand the Company’s operational needs. The individual also has to protect the Company’s property and personnel by maintaining a safe, risk free and secure environment. The successful individual will be placed in Western Cape.

**Primary purpose of the job**

The following are the primary responsibilities of this person**;**
- Risk observing, identifying potential risk and reporting
- Report writing (weekly, monthly reports to the control room Manager)
- Assessments -assist with assessments for any new requests for business.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities accurately and timely;
- Commissioning of new DVR’s
- Installation and commissioning of new cameras, DVR’s and power supplies.
- Link cameras to the correct DVR’s
- Inspecting cameras, equipment and access point and fix all non-functional matters
- Clean and maintain all camera lens.
- Assist IT departments with installation of hard drives and UPS
- Responding to alarm activations and alarm testing every Friday.
- Accurately and timely escalate all findings via a report to the control room manager.
- Proper management of Access Control devices and camera equipment.
- Assist with procurement and EFT; s based on quotations received.
- Testing and Fault findings.
- Fix all minor repairs on company two-way radios.
- Fixing and maintaining Electricals Fences.
- Adherence to Company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Legal Regulations;
- Performs First Aid or Fire Fighting functions when required
- Mandatory attendance of daily roll call/parades;
- Mandatory attendance of company training sessions;
- Meet competency benchmarks for training assessments;
- Continuous learning and growth (Personal Development Plan);
- Pass periodic polygraph, psychometric and risk assessments.
- Network Cabling - on new projects, moves and maintaining
- DVR Maintenance - Assisting on connecting DVR to Switch
- Formatting and setting up, loading software and operational programs of PC’S & Laptops

**Minimum requirements **

QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12
- PSIRA GRADE C

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years proven work experience in the Security Industry
- Basic Computer Skills

- Assist with Camera Surveillance assessments from time-to-time;
- Maintenance of cameras after hours.
- Work for multiple Medipost Group clients at multiple locations;

- Be called on off days to assist
- Vacations and open shifts;
- Physical Agility (constant walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods);
- Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat, walk-in cold/freezer rooms, etc.
- Perform any ad-hoc function or projects which might be necessary within the Medipost Group at large.

1. Installation, trouble shooting, daily maintenance if surveillance, alarm and electrical fence system:

- Installation and modification of systems to suit the safety requirements of the business.
- Trouble shooting faulty systems.
- Maintain and repair systems.
- Conduct set-up and testing of systems prior to full utilization.
- Responding to urgent call outs during business hours.
- Keep record of all tasks conducted.
- Keep an inventory of all available assets.
- Keep complete inventory of tools and equipment
