**Job Summary**:
The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with the company's bus passenger transport operations. This includes ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing insurance policies, conducting risk assessments, and implementing risk management strategies to protect the company’s assets, passengers, and employees.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Risk Assessment and Management**:

- Identify and analyse potential operational, financial, and safety risks within the company's transport operations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all bus operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the safety department to develop and enforce safety protocols and training programs for drivers and other staff.
- Monitor and review incident reports, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to address and prevent future occurrences.
- **Insurance and Claims Management**:

- Manage the company’s insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage for all operational risks.
- Handle insurance claims, working with insurance providers to ensure timely and fair settlement of claims.
- Maintain detailed records of all claims and insurance-related documentation.
- **Crisis Management**:

- Develop and implement crisis management plans to address potential emergencies and disruptions in operations.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure effective communication and response during emergencies.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Prepare regular risk management reports for senior management, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all risk assessments, audits, incident reports, and related documentation.
- **Stakeholder Collaboration**:

- Work closely with various departments, including operations, maintenance, human resources, and finance, to integrate risk management practices across the organization.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, insurance providers, and legal advisors to ensure comprehensive risk management.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CRM, ARM) is a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proven experience in safety management and regulatory compliance.
- **Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and software.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position may require occasional travel to various company locations and operational sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, depending on operational needs.

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Risk Management: 3 years (preferred)
