Contracts Manager

**JOB PURPOSE**
- To service the Service Level Agreement with a well-known beverage brand which entails technical and contractual deliverables in accordance with the Scope of Work for trailer and truck maintenance;
- Oversight of all operations to fulfil and exceed the deliverables set out in the Scope of Work;
- Build and maintain relationships with all managers, depot managers, staff, clients, suppliers to build and maintain a successful department
**Job Outputs**
- Ensure that the depots and facilities are maintained in a serviceable condition and in accordance with the terms of the service level agreement for the Client;
- Ensure that depots and facilities are maintained in accordance with existing leases and negotiate new leases and identify any financial impacts and potential ongoing liabilities where necessary in consultation with the Finance department;
- Run an efficient and profitable service for the Client through productive staffing, customer retention, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service and related records;
- Ensure that all legislative and statutory requirements are met, and policies and procedures are in place to ensure compliance, particularly with regard to health and safety;
**Management and Operations**:
- Develop, implement, monitor and manage Standard Operating Procedures for the department;
- Develop and maintains reporting system required by management at depots and facilities;
- Monitor and control the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys;
- Convene and manages weekly department meetings;
- Directs and schedules the activities of all depot managers and relevant employees;
- Guide and direct staff to achieve operational standards and assess staff functions within the respective functional areas to ensure goals and objectives are met - effectively manage all reporting staff;
- Conduct site meetings with the Client, Depot Manager, suppliers & customers;
- Document control, including Quality Control;
- Maintains high-quality service and repairs and minimizes comebacks;
- Accurately report on product technical failures based on factual data;
- Conduct regular branch and distributor inspections to ensure technical support is done according to the required standards;
- Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality;
- Implementation, management and review of systems and service providers to ensure that the statutory, legislative and business policies and specifications are met
- Manage the SLA with the client and ensure that requirements are met.
- Be able to Project Manage and establish a new site within a short period of time
**Client/Marketing Focus**:
- Developing and implementing a marketing plan to promote business and expand the offering beyond the Client promotes new and repeat business;
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with the client to encourage repeat and referral business;
- Conducts research on new trends with regards to facilities management in order to keep abreast of industry and best practice developments;
- Continuously monitors and improve client and stakeholder satisfaction;
**Financial and Risk**:
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the department;
- Responsible for financial tracking and reporting to ensure all services are delivered within agreed budgets and service levels;
- Keeping a record of accounts and financial information;
- Managing and controlling costs;
- Forecasting goals and objectives for the department
- Plan and track department budget in line with company requirements;
- Management and implement asset register to ensure the effective management all assets;
- Develop and manage risk profile in respect of the Client depot operations thereby ensuring proactive management;
- Ensure all ongoing costs, risks and liabilities for maintaining and/or repairing and renewing depots assets and eventually handing the leases to a successor (or back to the lessor) are adequately budgeted for;
**Required Qualifications**
- A Qualification in Transport and Logistics or Fleet Management (Diploma / Degree)
- A Qualification in Management (Degree)
- A Technical qualification (Diesel Technician) would be an advantage
**Required Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar technical roles;
- Demonstrated experience at a Senior Management level;
- Line design - designing production lines or production processes;
- Method development - developing production methods, and/or equipment;
- Project Management - setting up new production machinery or equipment
- Experience in a Technical environment (Diesel workshop)
