**About the Position**

Reporting directly to the Accounting & Compliance Finance Manager, the Finance Administrator performs a wide range of functions, including overseeing the execution of day-to-day financial transactions for Dimagi’s US (INC) & South Africa entities (DSA), managing the Accounts Payable processes, assisting with the monthly financial closing of the books, etc. You’re someone who has excellent attention to detail and enjoys supporting the great Business Operations and Dimagi team to make an impact globally.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee the weekly review of US & South Africa entities' AP, AR, employee ledgers, and aging reports to ensure accuracy and work with the bookkeeper to action any corrections or updates needed. This will include final reviews, dual authorizations, and weekly checks that the bookkeepers' cases are completed.
- Run quarterly report out meetings for US & South Africa with the Accounting & Compliance team. Work with the team to correct mistakes found in the accounting system.
- Coordination and completion of the monthly cash projections and cash requests for the South African entity.
- Review the weekly bank account clearings and reconciliations prepared by the bookkeeper to ensure completeness and accuracy. Ensure all monthly credit card reconciliations are completed by our required deadlines and escalated to the Accounting & Compliance manager if expenses are not submitted during the appropriate time frame.
- Review the US & South Africa entities’ monthly payroll journals processed by the Bookkeeper against the payroll information supplied by the POps team. Coordinate the information relating to salary deductions per the employees’ expense reconciliations to POps for payroll preparation.
- Oversee the replies and feedback to US & South Africa staff’s questions about invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Manage and resolve banking issues that arise at the US & South Africa entities, including but not limited to communication with bank representatives, internal employees, and external contractors. Determine which problems require escalation to the Accounting & Compliance Finance Manager.
- Provide accurate and timely entity financial data for the Finance Lead to review.
- Supervise a finance assistant that handles the completion of bill and employee expense processing, weekly vendor payment runs, the loading of payments on the banking profile, and coordination of payment release with authoriser.
- Oversee the completion of the monthly South Africa VAT reports and sharing with external accountants within the required timeline. Coordinate any VAT payments due to SARS with external accountants.
- Providing general support and coordination with various Accounting & Compliance initiatives, OKR’s, ad hoc projects and general financial administration.

**Relevant Skills**
- Diploma or Degree in Bookkeeping, Finance or related field.
- Have a minimum of 2-4 years experience in Accounts Payable Administration / Control and Financial Administration or Financial Accounting
- Computer and technology savvy with solid MS Excel skills and confident with MS Office, Google Sheets, as well as the ability to work between multiple systems and platforms
- Experience with a financial accounting software package (e.g., QuickBooks, Intacct, etc.)
- Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency finance administration
- Good numeracy skills and reconciliation experience
- Solid problem-solving skills and solution-driven
- Highly organized and highly detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Possesses the ability to self-organize and work within a team environment
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Experience working with remote management or a remote team

**Bonus Skills**
- Experience with assisting in the preparation packs for annual Financial Audits
- Experience managing a finance assistant and/or bookkeeper
