**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government seeks to employ a competent individual to assist local municipalities to undertake human settlement planning. This position is based in Cape Town CBD.

**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (B-Degree/National or relevant qualification) in Urban/ Town and Regional Planning; A minimum of 3-years post qualification Town and Regional Planning experience; Registration with SACPLAN as a professional Town and Regional Planner on appointment; A valid driving licence.

**Key Performance Areas**:
**Competencies**: Proven project management and administration skills; Ability to operate at a strategic level and manage engagements with stakeholders and partners; Ability to interpret relevant public service legislation, policies, prescripts and procedures; Report writing; Communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
**Remuneration**:
R 424 104 per annum (Salary level 9).
