**Import Customer Service Agent**

**OVERVIEWJob Title**Import Customer Service Assistant**Job Family**(Customer Service)**Reporting Line**Commercial Manager**Supervises**None**Location**KZN - Durban**Purpose** Provide high quality customer service support, delivering service in line with performance standards and operating procedures.

**Areas of responsibility**

**Import Documentation**

Execute Import customer service documentation activities. These include the preparation of Import cargo manifest / distribution of Arrival Notifications / processing Transhipment Orders, etc, in accordance with procedures, quality standards and timelines.

**Customer Service Communication**

Effectively communicate with the respective internal / external business interfaces, such as the Line Management / System Developers /Global Offices and Customers, to ensure that all import processes are working efficiently. This includes the distribution of customer sailing schedules and providing import quotations.

**Compilation of Import Statistics**

Monitor and record import volumes, transhipment movements and vessel port calls.

**Vendor Account Reconciliation**

Verification and reconciliation of Vendor billing (Port Operational Accounts), creating vessel expense summaries per port call, conducting checks and approval of invoices for the services rendered.

**QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Education** **Level**Matric with mathematics or equivalent.

**Experiences**

1-3 years professional working experience in the shipping industry, ideally with Pure Car & Truck Carrier exposure (PCTC). **Computer Skills**MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point & Outlook).

**Other Skills**

Excellent English language and communication skills - both written & verbal.

Analytical, Problem-Solving Skills, Ability to work under pressure.

Quality Focus, Strong team player, Attention to detail, Time Management.

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
