**Job title: Facilities Manager**:The main purpose of this position is to manage the facilities maintenance function in the Co. Head Office for the optimal upkeep of fixed physical assets.

**Minimum Job requirements** **Bachelor’s or BTech Degree (NQF 7) in Engineering or Built Environment **or an equivalent qualification;
- Registration with the **Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)**; and
- the minimum of 8 years of experience in the facilities management environment, with a solid track record (at least 3 years) in people management.
- **a Leadership and Management Certificate.**

**Detailed description**
- Develop facilities management strategies, processes, operational plans and standards, and ensure alignment thereof with related functions.
- Plan and manage the facilities maintenance front-end function and services of the Co. Head Office and official residences, which includes the following areas: plumbing, mechanical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical and electronics, building, soft services and utilities management.
- Optimise the division’s resource utilisation, allocate work, and manage the accountability of resources.
- Manage and ensure compliance with facilities management policies, processes, standards and legislation at the Co.
- Identify, manage and mitigate the risks associated with facilities management in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, as amended.
- Compile and manage the budget for the division, and ensure standard procurement practices and expenditure within prescribed limits.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service providers and clients to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Monitor quality and divisional deliverables, and provide relevant reports to senior management.
- Manage the performance and development of the team.
