**Key responsibilities & duties**:
Reporting directly to the Group Credit Manager

Responsible for the Group Credit Management administration of the Debtors books for the Group

**CREDIT CONTROL**:

- Oversee the credit vetting and granting process within the levels of authority of new customer accounts
- Collation of documents when requests are received for management discretion and self-insured accounts
- Obtain credit reports for new management discretion and self-insured accounts from the relevant bureau
- Preparation of all credit vetting documents and information for management discretion and self-insured accounts for the Group
- Prepare management discretion and self-insured request documents for sign off in terms of levels of authority
- Follow up with branches on unresolved aged queries unresolved and escalate to Group Credit Manager
- Monitor and report on all overdue amounts and queries and report same to the Group Credit Manager
- Prepare claims against self-insurance fund, when necessary, for Group Credit Manager and Group Directors approval
- Ensure paperwork is prepared for handover when legal action is required on management discretion and self-insured accounts for sign off by the Group Credit Manager and Group Directors in terms of levels of authority
- To obtain paperwork from Branches for any special terms account (45 days, 60 days or 90 days) must be approved by the Regional Directors and Group Directors - to be controlled on an updated workbook with approval paperwork
- Monitor and report on the debtors’ book for all Stewarts & Lloyds Group of companies
- Periodic review of the Group Credit Policy and recommend changes to senior management when required
- Maintain a decentralised staff structure at branch level, sufficient to meet collection requirements and objectives
- Provide training to credit staff where the need is identified
- Maintain relations with credit reporting agencies
- Maintain relations with credit insurance providers
- Manage relations with the branch managers, sales managers, senior management and shareholders of the business
- Personally visit customers, as required, to establish relations and/or resolve issues
- Assist Credit Controllers with resolving of debtor account queries

**Key responsibilities & duties (continued)**:
**BANK - INVOICE DISCOUNTING**:

- Prepare and submit the weekly bank download
- Preparation/gathering of documents required for Bank Audit

All VAT returns

All PAYE returns

All audit trails (Downloads) to be loaded onto a memory stick

Remittances to be obtained from the branches

AR Age analysis from the Group Credit Manager

Reconciliation of Final Download for the month of audit

AP Age analysis from Creditors Supervisor

Sales invoice report

Bank Statements for the period being audited

Auditors invoice selection to be gathered from Branches

**ANNUAL AUDIT**:

- Yearend customer statements to be downloaded into a separate electronic audit file as per selection by Auditors
- Assisting with resolving of auditor’s queries
- Ensure that documentation requested by the auditors is gathered from the Branches

**RECORDKEEPING & FILING**:

- Managing and overseeing of filing of all required documentation

**INTERNAL CONTROL**:

- To ensure internal controls at branches are in accordance with Company standards and in line with relevant legislation and level of authority with spot checking of adherence to LOA by means of document selection checks and report inconsistencies

**Minimum requirements**:

- Syspro experience required
- 5+ years of credit experience
- Bachelor's degree or suitable diploma in business
- Have a thorough knowledge of credit-related laws
- Be willing to periodically travel to customer sites
- Have considerable experience with negotiations
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Deadline driven
- Good Excel knowledge

**Salary**: R38,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month
