Digital Marketing Manager | Johannesburg | High End Retail Apparel Brand

Leading South African apparel and footwear brand is seeking a young, energetic and creative DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER to assist in taking the prestigious brand to new heights with innovative ideas and strategies. Candidate will be office based, and be required to travel, work weekends and overtime as expected of them as they will join a high-pressure and dynamic environment.

The person must be an independent and creative thinker, incredibly proactive and organized. The key goal is to explore unique and effective ways to increase brand awareness and maximize sales by understanding the impact of the marketing strategy across the business.

The role will include managing day-to-day handling of channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (including IG Reels), and YouTube. Content to be adapted to suit the different channels.
Developing and launching new campaigns that promote the business into the defined target audiences.
Monitoring and analyzing the performance on social and digital media platforms. Researching and evaluating latest trends.

Qualifications and Preferable Experience Required:
  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or a related role.
  3. Experience in the retail or fashion industry is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
  5. Basic knowledge of digital advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
  6. Familiarity with event planning and coordination.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  8. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and compelling content.
  9. Ability to develop creative social media strategies and campaigns.
  10. Analytical skills to analyze social media metrics and digital advertising performance data.
  11. Strong research skills to identify target audiences and market trends.
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  13. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  14. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  15. Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when necessary.
  16. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  17. Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends during special events or campaigns.
  18. Ability to travel for events and on-site setups if required.
  19. Understanding of current social media and digital marketing trends.
  20. Creative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  21. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
