MARKETING SPECIALIST

Note: Offices are based in Tygervalley, Cape Town, South Africa and you must be able to work onsite at our office as it will be pivotal to the video creation & shooting part of the role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Marketing Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in executing our marketing strategy, ensuring our content, video and message outreach, and branding efforts are always on point. Your key responsibilities will include:

Content Creation & Management:

  • Design social media posts and videos using Canva and CapCut.
  • Create engaging hashtags and captions aligned with trending topics.
  • Plan and organise content for the month using Canva, Capcut, Airtable and Buffer.

Video Creation:

  • Create trending video scripts and manage the video creation process from conception, shooting, editing and compiling to post.
  • Must be comfortable on camera for doing video outreach to Clients and Candidates to support the recruitment process.
  • Engage with relevant posts on LinkedIn by commenting and starting conversations.
  • Invite connections to follow our company page and grow our audience.
  • Monitor and boost LinkedIn posts to increase visibility.

Video Script Writing:

  • Writing small video scripts and making short videos enhancing the DevologyX brand.
  • Making Job videos promoting open jobs every week.

Market Research & Trends:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and create content ideas based on market insights.
  • Collaborate with the team to align content with our target audience's needs.
  • Write and upload blog posts and book reviews on WordPress.
  • Optimise posts for accuracy, relevance, and SEO performance.
  • Use tools like Airtable, Buffer, Waalaxy, and Recruiterflow for task and content management.
  • Create personalised video messages using Loom for outreach and lead generation.

KPI Tracking:

  • Monitor monthly marketing KPIs to measure the success of campaigns and media.
  • Suggest improvements based on data insights.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in a marketing-related role or field of study.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (especially LinkedIn is nice to have).
  • Willingness to create Looms to send to candidates and Clients daily.
  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, and/or similar tools or learn.
  • Ability to create trending video scripts and video creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Creativity and a proactive mindset to experiment with new ideas.

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Experience with Canva, Airtable, WordPress, Buffer or similar.
  • Basic knowledge of outreach and engagement.
  • Understanding of the recruitment process.
