Our company is a world leader in the design, manufacturing and supply of unique physical perimeter security barriers. We currently require the services of an experienced, hard-working Business Development Executive to join our sales force.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify market opportunities and potential clients/prospects while developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve new business sales targets and results.
  2. Open and implement new business in line with KPI's set and interim servicing and monitoring of service provision to new accounts.
  3. Develop and maintain an ongoing pipeline/list of prospective clients in line with new business strategy.
  4. Maintain own existing client base and manage relationships with customers until handover to Sales and Customer Relations personnel.
  5. Continuously look for extension opportunities of client's business to expand services to available customers.
  6. Communicate with inbound and outbound operations and management regarding customer inquiries.
  7. Manage territory efficiently and economically by covering it on a planned schedule basis.
  8. Ensure client records are kept up to date in master files and on CRM System, with accurate information as per ISO 9001.
  9. Collect and analyze customer, market, and competitor information.
  10. Coordinate marketing activity with others and improve lead generation.
  11. Prepare proposals, profiles, presentations, new business estimates, and business development reports.
  12. Continuously develop industry and product knowledge to provide solutions to meet customer needs.
  13. Effectively use organizational resources to achieve desired results.
  14. Conduct continuous market research to ensure pipeline-driven sales.

Qualifications:

  1. Matric - Degree or diploma advantageous.
  2. Minimum 5-8 years' experience in Business Development within a Corporate environment.
  3. Proven track record in dealing with customers, building pipeline, and new business development.
  4. B2B business development exposure.
  5. Advanced computer literacy i.e. MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  6. Ability to always maintain professionalism and corporate standards.
  7. Must have a sense of urgency and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  8. Knowledge and understanding of the sales process.
