HR Officer

A dynamic organization focused on delivering innovative solutions across various industries is seeking a skilled and motivated HR Officer responsible for conducting disciplinary hearings, preparing for CCMA hearings, and providing HR-related assistance to managers and operational staff.
POSITION INFO :
Minimum requirements for the role :
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR role, with specific experience in disciplinary and CCMA hearings will be required
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations is essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal as well as organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Managing and conducting disciplinary hearings in line with the company's disciplinary code of conduct.
- Ensuring fair and consistent application of disciplinary procedures.
- Documenting and reporting on the outcomes of disciplinary hearings.
- Preparing documentation and evidence for CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration) hearings.
- Liaising with legal advisors and representing the company at CCMA hearings as required.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of all CCMA cases.
- Responding to HR-related queries from managers and operational staff.
- Providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assisting in the resolution of employee grievances and conflicts.
- Conducting investigations as required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Assisting in the implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives.
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process as needed.
