Specialist - Talent Acquisition

We are searching for a Specialist: Talent Acquisition to join the largest manufacturer and distributor of major appliances in Southern Africa, to be based in Durban, Jacobs. The Specialist: Talent Acquisition will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's talent acquisition strategy. The role will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and selecting top-tier talent. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage candidates and align the recruitment process with the company values and culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  2. Utilize various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events, to identify and attract potential candidates.
  3. Conduct thorough candidate assessments, interviews, and background checks to ensure the right fit for both the role and the company.
  4. Create engaging and personalized candidate experiences throughout the recruitment process.
  5. Collaborate with the Employer Branding specialist to develop and implement employer branding strategies to attract top talent.
  6. Creating and maintaining a strong candidate pipeline of experienced and critical skills candidate hires.
  7. Maintain consistent communication with candidates to provide updates, gather feedback and ensure a positive candidate journey.
  8. Act as a brand ambassador to convey the company's culture and values to candidates.
  9. Track and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and recruitment campaigns.
  10. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership regarding talent acquisition performance, candidate trends, and areas for improvement.
  11. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers and team leaders, to understand their hiring needs and provide expert guidance.
  12. Collaborate with the HR Business partners to ensure a smooth and efficient end to end recruitment process.
  13. Making recommendations for hiring decisions.
  14. Stay updated on industry best practices, trends, and innovations related to talent acquisition.
  15. Identify opportunities for process optimization and enhancement of candidate experience.
  16. Promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
  17. Adhoc Projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources or a relevant qualification.
  2. Proven 5 years plus experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a similar environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of various talent acquisition methods, sourcing techniques, and candidate assessment tools.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates and build relationships.
  5. Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, social media platforms, and other recruitment tools.
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret recruitment data.
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  8. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  9. High level of professionalism, ethics, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  10. Knowledge of BCEA, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity etc.
