Job Title: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Remote work for a South African based candidate for a company based in the United Kingdom.
About the Employer:
With years of experience, our client is one of the UK's largest consumer & B2B email data owners and a proprietary customer acquisition platform. They leverage a GDPR-compliant and fully-opted-in database of consumers & hundreds of data points on each email to enable brands to supercharge their data strategies across acquisition and retention.
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our client's team. As SDR, you'll play a critical role in new business sales activities for First-Party Data Builds (1PD), securing meetings with direct brands in the retail, travel, beauty and health sectors.
You will be directly responsible for reaching out to potential customers, with targets around qualified outreach and meetings booked. You will organise the meeting booking for one of the senior team members.
About You:
- You will have demonstrated an outstanding ability to generate a sales pipeline and have worked as an SDR.
- You will have a good knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem and be confident in prospecting brands directly.
- Commercially, you will have shown great expertise in reaching clients, capturing their attention, and securing a meeting.
- You will want to be part of a small team and be prepared for rapid change.
- Operationally, you will be organised, motivated, excellent at pipeline management in tools and processes and highly capable in presentation tools and techniques.
Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with a hit list of companies and identify the correct stakeholders and job titles within these companies. Identify their contact details, with a primary focus on email and LinkedIn, as well as their phone numbers, where possible.
- Actively comment on prospects' posts on LinkedIn and reach out using LinkedIn, email, and phone to secure a meeting.
- Use Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce.
- Identify similar brands to current clients and the right stakeholders within.
- Meet a daily outreach target and new business meetings booked.
- Manage a new business sales pipeline, maintaining and tracking performance in the company's CRM platform (Salesforce).
- Prospect, evaluate, identify and contact prospects per the allocated sales patch.
- Attend internal sales meetings.
- Develop winning selling and outreach strategies, adjusting sales tactics depending on needs.
- Hit and exceed monthly goals.
- Capture and translate market feedback into product requirements and collect market data and information to guide our overall strategies.
- Contribute to a team culture focused on authenticity, transparency, client-centricity and active collaboration.
Your Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of progressive experience in sales, with notable experience working directly with brands.
- Demonstrated capability to deliver a qualified pipeline against outreach and meeting targets.
- Benefit if you have contacts within Paid, Performance or CRM teams at direct brands.
- Demonstrated ability to break into new agencies and brands.
- Understand first-party data, its value, and the mechanisms to grow it.
- Proven ability to learn new skills.
- Discipline, time management, self-motivation and resilience.
Must be able to work GMT (BST) time, one or two hours ahead of South Africa.
Salary:
- Salary: R20 000 + commission.
- Performance-Based Bonuses and Commissions: Additional compensation based on performance.
