Job Description

Our US Client is looking for an experienced Proposal Writer to research, write, and submit RFPs in the education sector. This is a part-time, freelance position that will work closely with different departments to collect documentation, develop compelling answers to the questions asked in the RFP, and coordinate the responses from our internal team. The role requires someone with excellent technical writing skills who is proactive and highly organized, with great attention to detail in compliance and following instructions.

The Proposal Writer will research potential RFP opportunities, develop effective responses, collaborate with other contributors, review and edit responses from contributors, ensure proposals are accurate, compliant, and competitive, coordinate and organize all documents, format the final submission document following internal and RFP guidelines, and submit the response by the deadline. The Proposal Writer will manage the entire proposal process from discovery to submission, including scheduling and attending meetings as needed and tracking RFP progress in our database.

The successful candidate will have experience completing grants and RFPs for governments, school districts, and other agencies and be dedicated to creating winning bids and helping change the future of education. This role is completely remote with varying hours depending on the number of proposals being submitted.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify appropriate RFPs
  • Review RFPs and identify the needs and components required
  • Obtain and organize the correct documents, and ensure all documents are accurate and complete
  • Connect with potential client and attend client meetings as needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with the internal team
  • Develop a plan for effectively meeting the submission guidelines
  • Write proposal response, align language to meet need of client
  • Submit RFP as directed by client within timeline
  • Track progress and awarding of RFPs
  • Follow internal processes and maintain database
  • Keep organized files and documentation

SALARY RANGE

This is a fully remote freelance position with varying hours depending on the RFPs available.

Salary range is $19-$27 per hour, also open to a flat fee per proposal structure.
