As Root's Head of Finance, your mission is to ensure that the business has continuous access to accurate and up-to‑date financial data to facilitate informed and data‑driven decisions and strategy. What you'll do Oversee all financial activities at Root, establishing solid financial frameworks and practices that empower the Root team and optimise our resources. Ensure financial accuracy and reliability as the foundation for insight generation. Recognise patterns and trends in Root's performance and in the market, distilling these into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for the leadership team. Act as a strategic partner to the business, proactively advising on opportunities, risks, and trade‑offs that influence Root's growth and long‑term success. Qualifications CA(SA) with 10+ years post‑University working experience, including as a Senior Financial Manager. Experience with SaaS accounting and financial standards. Technology startup background preferable. Experience working with senior leadership as a strategic partner and advisor, not just as a financial controller.
