Head
**Requirements**:

- BTech or First degree in Finance and Accounting (Public Finance).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial/ budgeting

environment.
- A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Managing and guiding the compilation of the annual operating

and capital budgets in line with corporate guidelines.
- Managing the compilation of the adjustment budgets.
- Managing and coordinating all financial and audit matters.
- Strategizing and quantifying the branch’s input into the short,

medium and long
- term budgets to ensure proper financial
planning and sustainability for the branch going forward.
- Coordinating & capturing monthly feedback associated with

various funding sources and updates the PPM and PCER
compliance.
- Driving Capital budget implementation.
- Scrutinising all relevant reports for the Branch/Director’s approval

and ensuring legal (MFMA) and financial compliance
recommending appropriate alternatives where applicable.
- Managing the Capital and Operating expenditure for the branch.
- Ensuring execution of the accounting and financial functions of

the Department through journals, virements, reposting and
approves and recommends virements of budget items in cases
of slow implementation.
- Extracting, analysing, preparing and submitting monthly reports

on actual financial performance against budgets.
- Managing, leading and directing outcomes associated with the

utilization, empowerment, productivity and performance of
personnel within the finance unit.
- Managing the key performance areas associated with asset

management of the branch.
