To grow sales volumes and market share of a category across the SA FMCG businesses

Key role objectives include:

  • Achievement of Volume Budgets
  • Grow the category shares
  • Develop strong customer relationships
  • New business development
Key/Main responsibility areas
  • Responsibly for developing and implementing a sales plan to grow market share within a specific category across the Massmart and Export Channel
  • In conjunction with the Channel Head, develop plans with a strong focus on listings, distribution, promotions and visibility in ensuring market share growth as per the company objectives.
  • Accountable for total volume and share growth across the SA/Export business channels.
  • Monitor and report on market developments and competitor activity
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders, such as: Supply Chain, Global category teams, Planning and Finance to ensure streamlined and speedy deliverables to Customers.
  • Use market insights to develop category plans across all Channels ie Nielsons/Data Orbis.
  • Track, measure and evaluate sales metrics and trends and provide corrective recourse actions if needed
  • Responsible for planning monthly forecasts across the various categories
  • Together with Marketing develop strong BTL category plans and ensure effective execution of such plans
  • Assess customer opportunities and put forward recommendations to drive customer promotional plan
  • Responsible for managing operational/sales objectives with Third party agents and Distributors
  • Monitor SOH/Sales Out Data/Distribution and pricing

· Sales and Marketing Team, Supply Chain, Accounts Depart and Finance

· Sales and Merchandising Agents. Meridian

Qualifications & experience required (minimum qualifications & experience required)

· Degree/ Diploma in a commercial field

Experience

· 5 years working expérience in FMCG Sales,

· Strong Relationship across the FMCG industry (Massmart & Export would bé an avantage)

· Category management

· Customer business plans

· Export knowledge a strong avantage

· Strong Entrepreneurial skills

· Strong commercial understanding and business accumen

· Outstanding Communication, interpersonnel and leadership skills

· Ability to travel frequently
