Overview CA(SA) with UK Accounting Practice Experience — Location: Belville, Cape TownSalary: R70,000 per monthEmployment Type: Full-time UK hours Client: UK-Based Accounting Practice Are you a CA(SA) with UK working experience and a passion for working with SMMEs? An established UK-based accounting firm is expanding its South African team and seeks a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with strong Xero accounting experience and a solid background in servicing small to medium-sized businesses. About the Role You will play a key role in delivering end-to-end accounting services to UK-based clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight-driven reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with UK accountants and business owners, while enjoying the flexibility and culture of a Cape Town-based office. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct financial analysis to provide strategic insights and recommendations to management. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare returns. Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets. Develop and refine financial policies and procedures. Provide financial guidance to internal departments and clients. Stay current with UK accounting standards and regulations. Prepare and maintain accounts using Xero Accounting Software. Qualifications & Experience CA(SA) qualification (Registered Chartered Accountant South Africa). Degree in Accounting / Finance or related discipline. Minimum 5 years total experience in accounting or finance. At least 3 years working within an Accounting Practice, servicing multiple SMME clients. Proven UK working experience (within practice or client servicing environment). Xero certification or demonstrated proficiency in Xero. Strong understanding of IFRS and UK accounting principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
