CA(SA) with UK Accounting Practice ExperienceLocation: Bellville, Cape TownSalary: R70,000 per monthEmployment Type: Full-time (UK hours)Client: UK-Based Accounting PracticeAn established UK-based accounting firm is expanding its South African team and seeks a highly skilled CA(SA) or ACCA-qualified Accountant with extensive UK accounting practice experience. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of UK practice experience and at least 6 years of UK tax exposure, including filing tax returns and a strong understanding of the UK tax system.This role is ideal for someone who has either:Worked in an outsourcing firm in South Africa that services UK accounting practices, orBeen directly employed by a UK accounting firm.About the RoleYou will play a key role in delivering end-to-end accounting and tax services to UK-based clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insight-driven reporting. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with UK accountants and business owners while enjoying the flexibility and supportive culture of a Cape Town-based office.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Conduct financial analysis to provide strategic insights and recommendations to management.Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.Ensure full UK tax compliance and manage the preparation and filing of UK tax returns.Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits.Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.Develop and refine financial policies and procedures.Provide financial guidance to internal departments and clients.Stay current with UK accounting standards, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.Prepare and maintain accounts using Xero Accounting Software.Qualifications & ExperienceCA(SA) or ACCA-qualified Accountant (Registered Chartered Accountant South Africa or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).Degree in Accounting / Finance or a related discipline.Minimum 6 years of UK accounting practice experience.Minimum 6 years of UK tax experience, including compliance and tax return preparation.Experience working in a South African outsourcing firm catering to UK clients, or directly within a UK accounting practice.Proven experience servicing multiple SMME clients.Xero certification or strong proficiency in Xero and other cloud-based accounting systems.Solid understanding of IFRS and UK accounting principles.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Why JoinBe part of a dynamic, international accounting team with direct UK exposure.Competitive salary of R70,000 per month.Work with global clients while based in Cape Town.Supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented environment.
