Point of Sale & BI Support Specialist at Famous Brands Join to apply for the Point of Sale & BI Support Specialist role at Famous Brands. Introduction The purpose of this role is to lead the Signature Brands POS and BI Support team to drive system functionality, support the Brands to coordinate POS system information and drive operational efficiency. Responsibilities include implementing, maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting the POS systems, and overseeing the end‑to‑end Menu Management process (recipes, costings, pricing, gross profit calculations). BI tools are updated as required to provide insights for the respective brands. Duties & Responsibilities Pos (Point of Sale) Drive Point of Sale system functionality and support to achieve the Group’s strategic objectives. Ensure uniform POS installation, efficient data transmission, internal database management and technology support across all brands. Resolve technical issues, support new software releases and integration requirements with POS systems. Manage outsourced POS databases where applicable. Act as liaison between the franchise network and POS vendor for support escalations. Participate in price change discussions and oversee annual menu pricing process, producing successful bi‑annual menu launches. Ensure menu and promotion POS briefs are completed and sent to vendors and delivery partners on time. Assist with ad‑hoc investigations and exception‑based reporting. Menu Management Use the Menu Matrix to drive efficiencies within the team’s output. Create and maintain menu matrices across all brands, focusing on continuous improvement of the pricing process. Ensure controls for menus and recipe maintenance according to provided flowcharts. Develop recipes, calculate cost of sales, gross profit, recommend RSP and run cost‑impact analysis. Analyze and report on gross profit as required by the brand. Ensure compliance to briefs for physical, online and POS database menus and promotions. Prepare and deliver monthly, weekly, ad‑hoc, GP analysis and audit requirements. Posi Uploader Monitor receipt of daily transaction files from all restaurants (FB Connect). Fix all business errors in error logs and implement controls to mitigate risk. Maintain data integrity for the POSI uploader by keeping the Dimension Manager up to date. BI Management Update BI tools on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for each brand. Align best practice and insights across Signature Brands. Assist with data and sales requirements for all brands. Special Projects Consumer‑facing tech projects linked to POS integrations. Support execution of all consumer‑facing tech hub projects. Happy High Performing People Lead POS support specialists to ensure execution of their mandate. Ensure core mission, vision and values of Famous Brands are always executed. Celebrate success within the team. Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and deliver mutually established goals. Align job profiles, skills audit, PDP and scorecard for reportees. Desired Experience & Qualification Matric essential. 5+ years experience in POS functionality (cloud‑based). Extensive knowledge of POS testing strategies. Experience maintaining POS systems. Experience with BI Tracker. Experience and knowledge of food cost calculations.
