The institute has an opening for a **Head of Department: Sales** within our Sales Department. The role will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to drive student enrolment and meet revenue targets. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven record of accomplishment in sales management, a deep understanding of the education sector, and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

**Position Duties and Responsibilities**:
General Team Management:

- Develop, monitor and report weekly, monthly and intake sales targets.
- Examining growth opportunities.
- Establish and oversee the adoption of the departments' vision and values that creates a sales driven culture.
- Critically analysing the sales performance for the purpose of reporting successes, weaknesses and opportunities.
- Provide input on the sales incentive structure and identify monitoring mechanisms to monitor the performance of the team.
- Direct the sales team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Investigate factors impacting sales performance.

Strategic Involvement:

- Develop and drive a comprehensive sales strategy to maximize sales opportunities in line with the core business vison and strategic goals.
- Contribute to an effective marketing strategy based on market research and industry trends.
- Analyze revenue trends and provide comprehensive reports that contribute to reasons for the increase or decrease.
- Review, draft and successfully implement policies, procedures and processes to contribute to a quality driven environment.
- Adopt a value based sales methodology to align the different brands within the group.
- Provide regular reports to the Executive Committee on sales performance, market trends, and key metrics.
- Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions regarding sales strategies, pricing, and resource allocation.

Special Projects:

- Involvement and management of multiple projects and oversee the planning, implementation, review, identify and refine the deliverables, documenting all aspects and work closely with the teams to ensure the scope of the projects are appropriate and complies with the mission and goals.

Application Requirements:

- Degree/Honours in Business Administration or Management.
- 5 Years' Experience in a managerial role within a Sales/Customer Service environment ideally in Education would be a distinct advantage.
- 5 Years' Experience and a proven record of accomplishment to mentor, coach and manage a diverse team.
- Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
- Ability to multitask across different tasks.

**Salary**: R600,000.00 - R720,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Management within a Sales/Customer Service environment: 5 years (required)
