Cyber Pre-Sales Support Engineer NEC XON – City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. The Pre‑Sales Support Engineer plays a critical role in enabling the sales organisation by providing technical‑commercial support throughout the pre‑sales lifecycle. The primary purpose of this role is to drive accurate quoting, prepare solution documentation, support customer engagements, and ensure seamless coordination between sales, vendors, and internal teams. This role bridges technical understanding with commercial execution, ensuring customers receive well‑structured, timely, and competitive proposals while supporting the overall efficiency and success of the cybersecurity sales function. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely quotes, BOQs, and pricing configurations for cybersecurity solutions. Work closely with vendors/OEMs to validate pricing, discounts, and solution components. Support sales teams during customer interactions by preparing materials, documentation, and solution summaries. Keep informed on the latest cyber trends, breaches, and technical write‑ups. Assist with early‑stage technical qualification and capture customer requirements. Participate in customer calls and sessions to clarify solution scope and align expectations. Collaborate with internal technical teams, procurement, and operations to align solution requirements. Ensure all pre‑sales documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with customer needs. Support the creation of solution packs, datasheets, and pre‑sales enablement materials. Build strong relationships, demonstrate emotional intelligence, storytelling ability, resilience, critical thinking, negotiation skills, and a high sense of urgency. Experience 3+ years of cyber experience, especially pre‑sales oriented. CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking knowledge. Red Team courses (TCM Academy / Hack the Box). CompTIA Security+ (highly recommended). Qualification Palo Alto, Silverfort, Proofpoint, Okta, CyberArk or Cymulate pre‑sales certifications. Silverfort Unified Professional Certification (advantage). Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (advantage). #J-18808-Ljbffr
