For Leeward CC day, evenings, and weekends, on- and off-campus. Duties and Responsibilities **Under general supervision, identifies and recruits prospective students into the College. Oversees students’ application and admission processes. Collaborates with administrators, faculty and staff to develop and implement outreach, recruitment and admissions strategies to facilitate the transitioning of traditional high school, nontraditional, military, transfer and other students into higher education. **Assists with the development and tracking of prospective students from the inquiry stage to enrollment. Monitors, tracks and supports incoming students, facilitating their progression through and completion of the onboarding process. Connects them with relevant on and off-campus resources to facilitate a successful transition to the College. Collaborates with other College departments/units (e.g., Counseling & Advising, Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Student Life, Job Preparation, Business Office, and Instructional Divisions) to ensure coordinated and effective onboarding support. **Provides information and guidance to prospective and/or incoming students regarding application and admissions processes, including but not limited to college admissions, financing options (i.e., financial aid and VA benefits), health requirements, placement testing, counseling services, and registration. Informs students of eligible campus resources and opportunities including job application assistance, student life activities, basic needs resources and learning resources. **Assists in the designing, planning, implementation of and/or participation in the unit’s outreach activities, which include career and college fairs; workshops; college and financial aid application events; and other events held on or off-campus that are designed to promote and/or increase students’ awareness of the College and its opportunities to either prospective students or their centers of influence. **Assists with the planning, implementation and/or management of campus tours and other on- or off-campus outreach, informational and/or recruitment events coordinated by either the unit or other areas of the College. **Establishes effective working relationships/partnerships with K-12 schools and personnel, alternative education programs, military educational officers, staff development coordinators in business/community organizers/agencies, adult school officials and other community entities to promote the College, its programs and student enrollment. Provides guidance and information to support their understanding of opportunities available for students at the College and application and admission processes, and serves as a liaison to the College. **Coordinates with College departments and units to ensure their participation in outreach activities. Collaborates with appropriate college staff to promote and support College recruitment activities. **Supports special admissions and/or enrollment programs (e.g., Early Admit, freshman camps, orientations, etc.). **Works with the College’s marketing specialist, institutional research analyst, satellite campus coordinators, and program counselors to define prospective traditional and nontraditional student target populations, key characteristics, and avenues of approach. Participates in campus and/or system-wide recruitment and/or admission initiatives and committees. **Facilitates the development of fliers, brochures and/or informational material for distribution to prospective students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other centers of influence. **Utilizes various technological platforms such as websites, social media, chatbots, texting platforms and client-relationship management (CRMs) software to help promote the College, to educate students about opportunities and/or to facilitate students’ engagement and/or enrollment with the College. **Hires, trains and directs student employees to support the College's recruiting efforts. Assists in the development and maintenance of an annual operational budget plan. **Assists with program evaluation and improvement efforts. Assists in identifying program needs and managing the unit’s resources. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a baccalaureate degree in counseling, education, sociology, psychology, business, marketing or related field and 3 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for educational outreach, counseling, admissions & records, financial aid, or other related student services field; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated. Considerable working knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of student recruitment or enrollment as demonstrated by the broad knowledge of the full range of pertinent standard and evolving concepts, principles and methodologies. Considerable working knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and theories and systems associated with student recruitment, admissions, records, or information. Demonstrated ability to resolve wide ranging complex problems through the use of creative reasoning and logic to accurately determine the cause of the problems and the resolution of the problems in an effective, innovative and timely manner. Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team leaders and members, and individuals. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software. Demonstrated ability to lead subordinates, manage work priorities and projects, and manage employee relations. Ability to travel independently in a timely and efficient manner to various locations on Oahu. Able to work evenings and weekends as required. Desirable Qualifications Master's degree in counseling, education, sociology, psychology, business, marketing, or related field. Demonstrated experience in student services, outreach, or transition from secondary education to higher education. Working knowledge of community college mission, admission policies and procedures, financial aid process, academic programs, or student support services. Knowledge of nontraditional student populations that include socio-economically disadvantaged youth, underrepresented communities, military and veterans, or adults involved in workforce development or employment transition. Ability to develop positive relationships with centers of influence in high schools, military education centers, businesses, government agencies, or community organizations, and administrators and professionals in higher education. Experience using and/or configuring technological platforms such as databases, websites, social media, client-relationship management software, texting software systems and/or chatbots.
