- Must call all customers on designated routes before deadlines.
- Must plan calls to promote the most effective product/services.
- Must ensure that deadlines accurately process all orders. Orders can only be added after the deadline with approval from the warehouse
management and then signed off by the sales/branch manager.
- Must know about all the company products, particularly the top-selling products.
- Must have a sound knowledge of sales deadlines.
- Must have a sound knowledge of all the company products and/particularly the top-selling products.
- Must keep accurate records on the customer cards of orders to track buying patterns.
- Teleseller must ensure that each customer’s current basket is maintained.
- Must promote and sell company products.
- Will substitute products where out of stock or have low stock and/or send part order and back order the balance and/or back order
the order in agreement with the customer.
- You will call customers back timeously with any order alterations, out of stocks and/or delivery delays/changes.
- Build good relations with all designated customers.
- Will deliver professional and efficient service to all customers – return calls, respond to queries and/or problems, etc quickly and effectively.
- You must have a sound knowledge of pricing structures, uplift procedures, credit note procedures, loading procedures, delivery procedures
and credit control procedure.
- Must have a sound knowledge of the company software and in particular pricing, approvals, available stock, stock coming in, printing picking
slips and bulk slips, holding orders for the next delivery, uplifts, recording driver communications and sales/buying info, and the route
dashboard.
- Your aim should be maximizing GP (gross profit) and filling trucks on route.
- Market-related info must be immediately passed on to the sales/branch manager and buyers, i.e. above/below market pricing, availability of
stock, quality issues, specification issues, etc.-
- You will pay particular attention to products or ranges nominated for focus by the manager and/or buyer.
- Communicated and increased buying patterns to the buyers immediately.
- Must develop a good telephone technique.
- When customers are coming to collect their order, both the person placing the order and the person collecting the order must be verified by
the customer. Orders must be loaded on the COLLECT route with the person collecting and the vehicle registration number. These will
require approval before collection.
- Any required reports must be submitted accurately, neatly, and on time.
- Any incidents/complaints must be immediately reported to the sales/branch manager both verbally and in writing.
- Attendance register must be completed daily.
- No functions/requirements listed in the job description may be altered unless given in writing by the company director.
- Although you have been employed in this position, you may be expected to perform other functions as stipulated in your contract of
employment.
