Global Strategic Account Development Manager Location: Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa Job Purpose We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Global Strategic Account Development Manager to lead the growth and development of our most critical global accounts. This role is responsible for building long-term relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and unlocking new revenue opportunities across multiple regions and business units. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive global account plans aligned with client objectives and company goals. Identify growth opportunities across geographies, product lines, and services. Establish and expand the commercial consumer goods footprint in South Africa for achieving business results. Coordinate with the existing commercial team to approach new and existing retailers, brands, and clients—especially in testing, inspection, and audit services. Work with the International Development VP to develop new services that address evolving client needs. Serve as the primary point of contact for global strategic accounts. Build trusted advisor relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers. Meet regularly with key clients to ensure relationships are maintained and continuously developed. Collaborate with regional and global sales, marketing, product, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution. Lead virtual account teams across time zones and cultures. Coordinate liaison between sales and other departments to maintain effective internal communications. Drive account expansion through upselling, cross-selling, and strategic partnerships. Monitor performance metrics and provide accurate forecasting and reporting. Develop and deliver revenue budgets aligned with company objectives. Implement, manage and analyse sales forecasting activities, targets, sectors, markets, and territories. Prepare and present sales reports detailing current performance, potential opportunities, and proposed client base expansion. Understand client business models and challenges to propose innovative solutions. Deliver tailored value propositions that differentiate our offerings globally. Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, service level agreements, and compliance standards. Conduct regular business reviews and performance assessments. Lead the creation, implementation, and management of the marketing plan and related activities. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop impactful marketing materials that support sales and brand positioning. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s preferred). Experience 7+ years in strategic account management or business development in TIC or consumer product sectors. Proven success managing multinational clients and complex service portfolios. Deep understanding of global compliance standards. Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies. Skills Consultative selling and solution-oriented mindset. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Project management and global coordination capabilities. Analytical thinking with data-driven decision-making. Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory landscape. Other Ability to travel internationally and nationally as required. Own vehicle. Preference will be given to employment equity candidates.
