Be in possession engineering qualification (Trade) Electrical Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications with English literacy Key Responsibilities Administration Manage all relevant data received through Health and Safety reports, screening and profiles by gathering, monitoring, manipulating, collating and analysing data based on experience and knowledge of the function. Present information to management in the form of reports and provide advice based on specialist knowledge by compiling reports-based information received, scrutinizing submitted reports from the Operation and providing feedback. Attend and participate in meetings by providing required information based on acquired knowledge and experience. Keeps abreast of latest relevant Health and Safety developments, innovations and technologies by means of liaising with other sources and by attending meetings on a regular basis. Assist with the maintenance and updates of relevant policies, procedures and regulations in line with current trends and developments and based on own specialist knowledge. Ensure that costs are controlled and wastage of resources is eliminated by working within prescribed budgets. Report deviations to Supervisor. Perform any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work. Building a values-based organisational culture. Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment. ESG Compliance. SA Gold Operations: Align to Work Gold Council (WGC) responsible mining principles. SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative. SHE Compliance. Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment. Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. SHE Management. Instil a culture of SHE leadership within the department. Quality Management System (QMS). Maintain department’s documents. Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System. Focus on safe production & operational excellence. Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence. Improve our position on global industry cost curve People Management. Provide coaching and on-the-job training to reporting staff. Manage performance and development of reporting staff. Ensure fair work allocation for team members. Inspire team members towards high performance. Additional Requirements Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Practice in Mining (WCL-2). NQF 5 qualification in Risk Management i.e. Fundamentals of Risk Management (IRCA), Risk assessment techniques and facilitation (Train the Trainer) will be advantages.
