Social Worker at Oasis AssociationLocation: Elsies River, Cape TownEmployment: Full timeDeadline: 28 November Responsibilities Deliver results-driven social work services to individuals and families, improving quality of life and promoting independence. Provide casework, assessments/screensings, referrals, group work and community work. Lead goal-oriented group work with beneficiaries with ID, residents of Oasis group homes, and Oasis staff. Work with existing community initiatives to address issues within the disability sector, raise awareness programmes, etc. Maintain an effective, accurate and up-to-date administrative system. Screen and place residents at group homes. Be available for crisis intervention at any time. Comply with all statutory requirements including DSD annual service plans. Qualifications & Requirements A relevant Social Work qualification with a minimum of 8 years working experience as a Social Worker. Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP). Must have a valid driver's licence and own reliable transport. Knowledge and experience of the principles and practices of the social work profession. Proven ability to write reports. Experience with intellectual disability will be advantageous. Ability to communicate in Afrikaans is essential.
