Social Worker Hashtag Nonprofit NPC seeks to appoint a Social Worker based in Elsies River, Cape Town . Job Details Deadline: 28 November 2025 Region: Cape Town Type of employment: Full time Roles and Responsibilities Provide results‑driven social work services to individuals and families to improve quality of life and promote independence. This includes casework, assessments/screenings, referrals, group work and community work. Conduct group work with beneficiaries with ID, residents of Oasis group homes, and Oasis staff. Collaborate with existing community initiatives to address issues within the disability sector, including awareness programmes. Maintain an effective, accurate and up‑to‑date administrative system. Screen and place residents at group homes. Be available for crisis intervention at any time. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements including DSD annual service plans. Qualifications and Requirements Relevant Social Work qualification with a minimum of 8 years working experience as a Social Worker. Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP). Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport. Knowledge and experience of the principles and practices of the social work profession. Proven ability to write reports. Experience with Intellectual Disability is advantageous. Ability to communicate in Afrikaans is essential.
