Job Responsibilities Design and execute strategies for raising funds from various sources including banks, donor funders, private equity firms, venture capitalists, government grants, and other sources. Identify and tap potential funding sources, maintaining a robust pipeline of funding opportunities. Develop and present compelling funding proposals tailored to the interests and requirements of potential funders. Craft and manage detailed financial models to evaluate various funding scenarios and support negotiation processes. Identify and respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) on Enterprise Suppliers Development (ESD) and Third-Party Funders. Draft each partner's performance update reports and close‑out reports. Conclude funding partnerships by effectively addressing queries from funders and negotiating terms and conditions that align with the organization's mandate, objectives, and capacity. Work closely with the legal department in drafting and monitoring partnership agreements and performance. Provide progress and performance updates to all committees including Board and sub‑Board committee(s). Financial Planning and Analysis Continuously identify and cultivate relationships with potential funders, maintaining a robust pipeline of funding opportunities. Stay abreast of market trends locally and internationally, funding sources, and emerging financial opportunities to optimize fundraising approaches. Presentation and Deal Closure Create and deliver compelling presentations to potential funders, articulating the organization's financial needs and growth plans. Lead negotiations to finalize funding agreements, ensuring terms and conditions are mutually beneficial and aligned with mandate and objectives. Relationship Management Maintain strong relationships with capital providers to ensure ongoing and positive engagement. Regularly communicate with funders, providing updates on performance and fund utilization transparently. Develop and implement co‑funding partnerships to unlock opportunities for black‑empowered businesses and support black women and youth participation. Additional Responsibilities Support the company's long‑term sustainability by spreading risks. Lead management of team members. Custodianship of third‑party funds. Source suitable transactions and monitor deal pipeline. Develop tools to monitor partnerships and evaluate outcomes. Optimize financial and development returns. Increase external fund pool. Optimize pricing through blended finance. Design and negotiate agreements for new or on/off‑balance sheet funds. Effective fund structuring and portfolio management. Identification of concessionary funding. Implement governance structures and procedures. Collaborate with government departments. Negotiate fund criteria. Present proposals and mandate letters highlighting co‑financing benefits. Support strategies to identify and facilitate funds. Regular reporting to stakeholders. Build influential relationships, networks, and collaborate with external advisors. Enhance service and communication, client service excellence. Build national relationships, promote professional image. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Economics, or related field. Postgraduate degrees such as Master's in the same field, CA (SA), certifications such as CFA advantageous. 5‑10 years of experience raising funds or managing funding partnerships. At least 5 years experience in corporate finance, investment banking. Proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, risk analysis. Exceptional communication skills. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to build relationships with stakeholders. Experience managing teams. Experience reviewing corporate/project/structured finance models. Grounded experience on development issues. Strong customer focus, ability to engage senior officials. Experience in high‑level collaborative environment. Ability to manage competing priorities. Extremely organized. Extensive experience in B‑BBEE verification/rating service. Extensive knowledge of BEE Act, Codes of Good Practice, sector charters and PPPFA. #J-18808-Ljbffr
