Investment Specialist/manager

The individual is required to leverage the company network to do new business development and identify opportunities to refer business to other service lines across the Group.
The role reports to the Head of Investment Client Management in SA.
This role requires strong working relationships with the Investment Management team in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg and London. It is further required that strong relationships are built within the broader team - at all levels, across geographies.
Externally the role requires regular interaction and close relationships with existing/potential clients, as well as business introducers.
**PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS and ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Diligently manage the investment portfolios of high net worth clients.
Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of clients’ needs, portfolios, activity.
Conduct periodic analysis and review of client affairs.
New business development as part of agreed annual team objectives.
Regular communication with client base to develop/foster strong working relationships.
Attend investment committee meetings by invitation, where you are expected to comprehend and contribute towards the defined investment strategy.
Coordinate the take-on of new clients and ensure all compliance requirements are met.
Draft and oversee investment implementation plans to completion.
Adhere to the operating procedures of the business.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in relevant target markets and jurisdictions.
Proactive, timeous, excellent client service.
Assist Head of Client Management/Investment Management to allow for the creation of new strategies and improved business development.
Actively participate in the overall investment process.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
5+ years’ experience in the investment industry.
Experience in analyzing/managing offshore and onshore multi-asset class portfolios for private clients.
FAIS registered representative.
