Meltwater – Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Account Executive (SaaS Sales) Overview Join a dynamic team at Meltwater as an Account Executive, reporting directly to the Sales Director. In this role you will drive new business opportunities, forge strong client relationships, and help shape the future of SaaS sales across the mid‑market segment. Responsibilities Identify opportunities within the dynamic mid‑market segment, partnering with Business Development and Marketing to target outreach initiatives. Deliver engaging product demonstrations and persuasive sales presentations that showcase Meltwater’s solutions. Create tailored proposals that address client needs and exceed expectations, laying the groundwork for lasting partnerships. Act as a trusted advisor throughout the purchasing journey, guiding prospects through solution exploration and pricing considerations. Negotiate contract terms and pricing to achieve win‑win outcomes, ensuring alignment and satisfaction on all fronts. Identify upselling opportunities and nurture relationships beyond the initial sale, fostering loyalty and trust. Consistently surpass sales targets and secure deals at competitive price points in a results‑driven environment. Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver seamless integration and ongoing success, leveraging collective expertise for unparalleled customer experiences. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher. 3‑5 years of B2B sales experience with a strong track record of success. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex value propositions clearly. Results‑oriented mindset, consistently achieving and surpassing sales targets. Proactive outreach and lead generation capabilities. Excellent organizational skills, adept at managing the purchase process and contract negotiations. Collaborative mindset, coordinating seamlessly with internal teams for implementation and client satisfaction. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
