We are seeking a Reception Shift Leader who embodies warmth, professionalism, and precision, ensuring that every guest interaction at the front desk is more than just a transaction but the beginning of a memorable stay. This is a newly created position designed to support the hotels exciting journey of growth and transformation. Preference will be given to Cape Town based applicants. What Were Looking For Were searching for a hospitality professional who leads with confidence, empathy, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have: A valid South African ID Matric certificate (Grade 12) A hospitality qualification (advantageous) Minimum 2 years of Front Office Supervisory or Reception Shift Leader experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel Opera PMS experience (essential) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a polished, professional appearance Confidence in managing guest enquiries, feedback, and complaints with empathy and efficiency Strong organisational ability and attention to detail Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays A calm and motivating leadership style with a collaborative team first approach What Youll Do Lead the front office team to deliver smooth, welcoming service from check in to check out Manage daily lobby operations and guest flow with professionalism and efficiency Handle guest queries and resolve service challenges with care and confidence Mentor and motivate the front desk team to uphold brand standards Collaborate closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, and Food & Beverage to ensure seamless guest experiences Maintain exceptional presentation and service standards across all front office areas Lead by example, inspiring a culture of warmth, precision, and genuine hospitality Why Join the Team This is an opportunity to join a respected 4 star Cape Town hotel during an exciting stage of development.
