Junior Project Developer (GIS Focus) Green Capital S.A. is a renewable energy group that has co‑created the market in Europe for more than 15 years and is expanding into Africa and South America. The company designs, builds and operates diverse renewable projects, energy storage and data‑processing centers. We are recruiting a talented Junior Project Developer in Cape Town to support our South African expansion. Provide essential support across the full project development lifecycle, from site acquisition to planning and permitting. Research property and landowner details, ensure accurate data collection and create shapefiles for prospective and signed land parcels. Create accurate GIS outputs,izations to support decision making and stakeholder engagement. Support preparation of land contracts and related property documentation, compile property maps and collect key land documents (Title Deeds, SG Diagrams, etc.). Maintain updated land acquisition status lists and provide regular reporting. Engage directly with authorities and stakeholders during approval processes, with potential to lead selected permitting tasks. Requirements Practical knowledge of GIS software (QGIS or ArcGIS). Ability to interpret environmental and planning constraints (agriculture, ecology, heritage, aviation). University degree in Environmental Management/Sciences, Ecology, Conservation, Geography, Geodesy & Cartography, Spatial Planning, Energy, Land & Property Studies, or related disciplines with a strong GIS component. Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Category B driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally for site visits. Preferred Experience Prior experience or internships in renewable energy, data centre development, real estate or public administration. Background or coursework in environmental impact assessment, land‑use planning, agricultural zoning, heritage requirements or biodiversity.
