Excel began in 1907, producing brass bushings and later expanding into bronze wear parts for mining equipment. Today, Excel is a leading provider of high-performance crusher replacement parts and high‑tech components for large‑scale open‑pit mining equipment. Key Responsibilities Drive sales of qualified projects, contributing to business growth and profitability. Evaluate and define the Go-to-Market approach for different countries and customer segments. Lead preparation of project plans, milestones, and resources to deliver proposals that meet client expectations while ensuring favorable terms for FLSmidth. Set direction for cross‑functional teams to ensure proposals are complete, competitive, and aligned with customer needs. Monitor project progress, recommend corrective actions, and ensure proposals are delivered on time. Conduct client meetings, representing technical and commercial aspects of the sales process. Build and maintain strong networks inside and outside FLSmidth to identify and capture new opportunities. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration within the team and across stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in mining, aftermarket, or industrial sales. Proven track record in project sales, negotiation, and contract management. Strong understanding of mining equipment, spare parts, and service business dynamics. Crushing technology experience. Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and execute market penetration initiatives in Africa. Willingness to travel. Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing at senior customer levels.
