Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an HR role, with specific experience in disciplinary and CCMA hearings will be required
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal as well as organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing and conducting disciplinary hearings in line with the companys disciplinary code of conduct.
  • Ensuring fair and consistent application of disciplinary procedures.
  • Documenting and reporting on the outcomes of disciplinary hearings.
  • Preparing documentation and evidence for CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Mediation, and Arbitration) hearings.
  • Liaising with legal advisors and representing the company at CCMA hearings as required.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of all CCMA cases.
  • Responding to HR-related queries from managers and operational staff.
  • Providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assisting in the resolution of employee grievances and conflicts.
  • Conducting investigations as required.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Assisting in the implementation and administration of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Supporting the recruitment and onboarding process as needed.
