Business Developer Position Enterprises University of Pretoria (Pty) Ltd's Research Solutions division has a vacant position of a Business Developer whose key outputs include business intelligence generation, conceptualisation of solutions and services, new business generation, business administration and reporting. Duties & Responsibilities Explore and generate business opportunities via tenders and meet set targets. Explore and generate business opportunities via engagement with the external market and clients and meet set targets. Project management and administration, and support to the Business Manager/portfolio. Reporting. Development of a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Conducting research to identify new markets and customer needs. Arranging business meetings with prospective clients. Conceptualisation of clients’ needs and development of proposals. Promoting the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives. Building long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Preparing contracts and ensuring adherence to governance principles. Desired Experience & Qualification Education and qualifications: National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent. A tertiary qualification of at least 3 years in duration/degree, preferably in the areas of Business Management/Commerce/Marketing (NQF Level 7). Valid driver’s licence. South African citizen. Knowledge, skills and experience (minimum of 3-5 years): Business Development (Sales/Marketing/Consulting). Contract research. Project and Contract management. Tender compilation, drafting proposals (unsolicited proposals), quotations and report writing. Generation of business intelligence on clients, industries and market segments. Advanced research methodology, budget compilation and writing capability. Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills. Analytical skills.
