Sales Representative â Utilities Private and Public Sector metering

Location: Cape Town Sales Representative Electricity, Water & Gas Metering Solutions A Sales Representative is required in the private and public metering space, focused on selling electricity, water, and gas metering solutions and products to customers. The ideal candidate is a results-driven, technically minded individual who actively seeks out and engages customer prospects. The role involves providing complete and appropriate solutions for each customer to drive top- and bottom-line revenue growth and profitability Key Performance Areas Promote metering products and services Meet and exceed sales targets and budgets Analyse and investigate pricing, demand, and competition Confer with customers and technical staff to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements Conduct market research and cold-call potential customers to identify new markets and opportunities Create detailed proposals and formal bid documentation Prepare and deliver sales presentations and solution demonstrations to prospective customers Communicate new product developments to existing and prospective clients Provide accurate sales reports and forecasts Manage the full sales cycle from inception to completion Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers Spend the majority of time in the field meeting customers and prospecting for new business, rather than working from an office Skills and Education Required Relevant qualification Minimum of 5 years experience in a private-sector utilities environment Proven sales track record in the utilities and metering space (advantageous) Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve sales targets Strong communication and negotiation skills while maintaining professional customer relationships Ability to perform and grow in a competitive environment Fluency in English Application Requirements Detailed CV, including a motivation highlighting skills, highest achievements, and a short message explaining suitability for the role Valid drivers licence and own vehicle Supporting documents and relevant certificates
