About the Role As Product Manager, you will champion the development and optimisation of cutting‑edge products, driving impactful solutions in a fast‑paced, AI‑forward newsroom environment. This is a hands‑on role bridging our newsroom, engineers, data scientists, product managers, and UX/UI design specialists to shape the future of news in South Africa. Responsibilities Enhance and optimise Landbou's suite of digital products, ensuring a compelling and consistent user experience. Interpret, guide, and refine products to meet evolving newsroom requirements and standards. Innovate: conceptualise and deliver new digital publishing features, aiming for engagement and audience growth. Collaborate closely with technical and editorial teams to specify and prioritise product requirements. Monitor industry trends, technologies, and emerging best practices to keep them ahead of the curve. Support editorial teams with operational product queries, troubleshooting, and workflow improvements. Finding solutions in integrating the CMS with workflows from publishing programmes like InDesign. Manage the product lifecycle for both existing and emerging Landbou digital assets. Lead product rollouts, testing, training, and optimisation across Landbou. Leverage commercial acumen to identify and seize market opportunities through product enhancements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. At least 5 years' product management experience, with at least 4 years in a digital / mobile environment. Required Skills Exceptional communicator with proven experience presenting to varied audiences. Able to convey complex concepts in a simple and digestible manner. Demonstrable track record of successful product launches and stakeholder engagement. Thorough knowledge of prevailing and emerging mobile trends and technology. Highly analytical, data‑ and research‑driven approach to product development. Strong experience with web and mobile product design and delivery. Preferred Skills Excellent judgement and analytical thinking. Advanced planning and organisational skills. Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
