A Stores Assistant is an internal customer service position within the Engineering department. The Stores Assistant will ensure all internal requests are issued timeously. The Stores Assistant will off load all incoming material and store items in a designated area safely and correctly. His/ her tasks will include but are not limited to:Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Ensure all daily store tasks are completed on timeAssist with processing daily stock ordersAssist with conducting inventory stock take when requiredDo inventory cycle countsOff-loading of all incoming materialOffloading of stock deliveries by suppliersChecking of deliveries against delivery notesReceiving of deliveriesMaintain minimum and maximum stock quantitiesIssue cylinder gas when requiredIssue requested inventory to various departmentsTake morning stock level of various stock itemsAdhere to Health and Safety regulationsGeneral HousekeepingAny other stores related duties as requestedApplicants must have the following qualifying criteria:Grade 12 preferably with MathematicsExperience in a Stores environmentAbility to work under pressure without supervisionBe prepared to work after-hours, including weekendsFully bilingual in English and Afrikaans, Xhosa would be an added advantageHigh administration skillsForklift licence is an advantageDedicated team playerAttention to detailDeadline drivenOrganizational skillsJob title: Stores AssistantReporting to: Stores Supervisor & Group Stores ManagerJob type: Permanent positionBenefits include· Provident fund· Life cover· Funeral cover· 15 x paid leave days per annum· Long service leave after five years of employmentStandard hours07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday07h30–16h00: FridayMay be required to work overtime as per operational requirementsWe regret that it is not possible to contact all unsuccessful applicants.
