This role demands deep sector insight into the milling industry, from procurement to production, pricing, and margin control. The CFO will be instrumental in driving cost efficiency, capital allocation, and sustainable growth at the mills . Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & ReportingLead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reportingEnsure compliance with IFRS, SARS, SARB etcPresent regular financial performance reports to the executivesOperational and commercial input Partner with operations to track margins, raw material usage, yield efficiencyImplement cost accounting processes specific to millingOversee product costing, inventory valuation, and production efficienciesTreasury Banking relationships: Proven track record of obtaining funding lines and improving the functionality of funding line for the businessManage cash flow management: Short to medium cashflow forecastsOptimize working capital: Decreasing debtors day, Negotiating creditors term, and optimum inventory holdingDevelop funding strategies for expansion or acquisitionCandidates must have some experience in a multi currency environmentRisk Management & GovernanceOversee audit, legal, tax, and compliance functionsManage insurance, risk exposure, and mitigation strategiesMaintain strong governance across all financial and procurement processesPeople & SystemsLead and develop the finance team which includes a financial manager, debtors and creditors clerks, admin staff, and cost accountantOversee ERP and financial systems development,Head of HR and payrollRequired Experience and Skills:Qualified CA(SA) with at least 5 years post-articles experience or Bcom accounts with relevant experience of 10 or more yearsPrior experience as CFO or FD in a milling environmentStrong command of product costing, manufacturing finance, and some exposure to commodity tradingProven track record of managing high-volume, cost-sensitive operationsProficiency in ERP systemsSome Experience with cross-border operations and multi-country finance structures in TreasuryIf you have not received any feedback from us within 5 working days please consider your application unsuccessful.**By sending your CV along with other additional documents you give consent to HWR to process and retain your personal information for the current opportunity as well as for future opportunities**
