**Finance Director (Logistics) required in Johannesburg.**:
A senior executive leadership role responsible for overseeing financial strategy, governance, and performance within a leading cargo and logistics operation.

The role requires a commercially astute finance leader with deep industry experience and a proven record in driving profitability, managing complex financial operations, and delivering strategic insights in a fast-paced, regulated sector.

**Requirements**:
Minimum Experience:

- Must have logistics / cargo / freight / transport background
- **5+ years** industry-related experience within cargo, freight, or transport
- **10+ years** proven work experience as a Financial Manager or similar role
- **10+ years** in a management capacity within a finance department

Minimum Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Financial Accountant Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7)

Functional & Regulated Training:

- SAGE system proficiency
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/IAS, VAT, and tax compliance

Environmental / Other Conditions:

- Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Clear ITC and criminal record
- Availability for overtime during month-end, year-end, and audit periods

Behavioural Requirements:

- Ability to lead, mentor, and guide finance staff to deliver on the company’s strategic objectives
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the finance function, including team development, governance, and operational oversight
- Oversee financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and treasury functions
- Support M&A, valuations, and strategic business projects
- Drive automation, systems optimisation, and process improvement
