About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager to join our dynamic product and technology teams. You will oversee complex, cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.This role emphasizes leadership, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence in an Agile/Scrum environment. It is ideal for a seasoned project management professional who thrives in complex environments, champions best practices, and is passionate about delivering high-impact projects across multiple domains. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & ExecutionLead the end-to-end delivery of projects, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and budgeting.Develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery against milestones and KPIs.Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.Ensure projects adhere to governance frameworks, compliance, and organizational standards. Collaboration & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among product managers, developers, QA, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders.Conduct regular project status meetings, steering committees, and progress reporting to executive leadership.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project coordinators or PMO staff. Process & Continuous ImprovementImplement and champion Agile/Scrum methodologies, fostering a culture of iterative delivery and continuous improvement.Standardize project management processes, tools, and templates across teams.Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project delivery.Monitor project performance metrics and implement improvements to increase efficiency and outcomes. Requirements & QualificationsMust-Have Skills:7+ years of professional experience in project management, including large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.Proven ability to lead projects in an Agile/Scrum environment.Strong experience in stakeholder management and executive communication.Solid understanding of project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana, Trello).Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.Highly Desirable Skills:Experience managing software development, IT, or digital transformation projects.Familiarity with hybrid project methodologies (Waterfall + Agile).Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma, PMI-ACP principles).Experience in vendor management and contract administration.Familiarity with project reporting dashboards and performance metrics. Education & CertificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or a related field.Certifications (Advantages) PMP® (Project Management Professional) – PMIPRINCE2 Practitioner / FoundationCertified ScrumMaster (CSM) / Professional Scrum Master (PSM)PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Additional InformationContract Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of renewal)Salary: NegotiableLocation Options: Johannesburg / Cape Town / RemoteMust be located in South Africa or have a valid work permit for South Africa
