Responsibilities include:Building healthy relationships with co-workers, supervisors and managementConducting oneself according to the disciplinary code and following all rules, regulations and policies of the CompanyLooking after the wellness of co-workers and reporting areas of concern to the Logistic ManagerReporting any unlawful activities in owrk areas and avoiding involvement in such activitiesEstablishing courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed effectively and efficientlySetting high performance standards for self and subordinatesFacilitating the completion of team goalsLiaising with drivers, internal clients and border controlExecuting the schedule created by the Divisional ManagerMonitoring trucks & trailers via various satellite tracking systems and booking repairs for faulty unitsCoordinating vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure there are safe and in a roadworthy condition (license renewal)Maintenance of vehicles: Booking vehicles with internal and external workshopsPerforming any other work-related duties and responsibilities assigned by managementIdentifying trends and poor driving behaviourPre-and post-vehicle delivery inspectionsAttending to the administration of the Company's vehicle policy to ensure complianceAccident and incident reporting and investigationReporting all corrective/disciplinary action that must be taken against drivers to the Divisional Manager to maintain a disciplined environment. Maintaining all necessary records to ensure that vehicles provided by the Company comply with legal and business requirements. Controlling the quality and accuracy of documentsEnsuring that all speeding fines are paid, submitting fines to drivers, arranging for payments of fines and following up on outstanding items. Administration and capturing of yard listsCollection of the driver's admin and capturing such data on the system together with completed tripsCompiling and submitting reports relating to vehicle utilization, maintenance and tracking on daily/weekly and monthlyMinimum Qualification and experienceHigh School diploma or equivalent. Formal Transport/Logistic Management Training preferredMinimum 8 years' experience in transport/logistics coordination or related field with emphasis on heavy-duty long-distance transport servicesCross-border experience will be advantageousExperience in fleet management, logistics coordination or a related fieldExperience in dealing with internal and external clienteleExperience in creating and executing transport schedulesExperience in vehicle maintenance and trackingKnowledge of relevant laws and regulationsRequirements:Strong organisational and planning skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in a team environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to work under pressureStrong computer skills, including experience with logistics management software and satellite tracking systemsWillingness to be available after hours on your mobile phone and willing to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends as neededA valid driver's license and own transportAbility to pass an integrity screening test (polygraph test), background check and drug test.
