Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science - or 3 years tertiary qualification Information Technology
  • MCSE, MCSA MCP = NON NEGOTIABLE
  • Teams/SharePoint certification an advantage
  • WINDOWS SERVER 2008 / TO CURRENT - Basic to Advanced = NON NEGOTIABLE
  • Azure Administrator Associate or CompTIA Security+
  • Sophos XG Firewall Administrator
  • Firewall management - Sophos firewall XGS and endpoint - Basic to Advanced
  • VMWare / Hyper V - Basic to Advanced - NON NEGOTIABLE
  • Sophos Endpoint Administrator
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 5+ years experience working in each of the competencies required in a medium-sized business environment = NON-NEGOTIALBE
  • Proven experience in providing end-user first and second-line IT support and troubleshooting

DUTIES:

  • Maintain robust IT security measures to protect company data and systems. Stay updated with the latest security trends and threats to ensure company defenses are strong and compliant.
  • Efficiently manage and respond to IT issues reported through company central ticketing system. Ensure that all tickes are resolved under the Service Level Objectives.
  • Work closely with the IT support team to develop strategies for effective issue resolution and system improvements. Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance the efficiency and reliability of IT systems.
  • Regularly evaluate company IT infrastructure (Server hardware or software) for potential upgrades or enhancements - lead projects for system implementation and maintenance
  • Manage and oversee company use of Microsoft 365 including Exchange Online and Sharepoint. Configuring and maintaining email systems, ensuring smooth operation and security of Exchange Online services, and managing SharePoint sites for effective collaboration and document management. User account management, policy implementation and ensuring that these platforms align with the company's collaboration, communication, and data storage needs
  • Manage and optimize virtual environments, including virtual servers, desktops and applications
  • Oversee and optimize the company network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity, performance and security. Managing, creating and upgrading network hardware, sorftware and configurations and troubleshooting network related issues.
