MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT FACILITIES & MAINTENANCEABOUT THE JOBThe Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with the general building maintenance and repairs of facilities and maintaining machinery & production equipment. Theresponsibilities may include cleaning buildings and rooms, and performing general maintenance and repair of the building, grounds, and equipmentABOUT YOUï‚· Must have the ability to adopt practical approachesï‚· Must have strong maintenance / handy-man skillsï‚· Planning, organizing, follow up and feedbackï‚· Strong problem-solving skills and able to multitaskï‚· Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsï‚· Goal driven and Service Delivery should be your passionï‚· Good verbal communication, with English the main medium of communication and other South African anadded advantage.ï‚· Must show commitment the position requires flexibility and after-hours availability when requiredï‚· Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines.THE HATS YOU MAY WEAR1. Investigator: able to identify problems/concerns with execution of a job and inform relevant parties2. Team player: Communicate between individuals within different departments positively and confidently tobe able to carry out duties whilst keeping all needed parties informed3. Plumbing/Building experience advantageous.3. 1 years experience in a similar role (as a maintenance / builder/ plumber) a preference.4. Experience in a Warehouse/Production environment, cosmetic machinery advantageous.5. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.6. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with high attention to detail.7. Good communication skills.8.
