Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update financial records including ledgers and journals.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations.
  • Handle data entry for financial transactions and manage electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Assist in preparing payroll and maintaining employee records.
  • Provide support during audits and assist with budget preparation as needed.
  • Respond to accounting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar accounting role.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Sage).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is preferred.
