You can look forward to

Business Development - Develop symmetric partnerships with potential new clients, design innovative distribution and product solutions, prepare and conduct presentations; Cultivate existing client relationships; Liaise with internal business units such as legal and pricing to ensure that new business and treaties meet internal standards as well as profitability and legal requirements. Develop and maintain all relevant records and reports required.
Business Management - Ensure treaty wording and addenda are accurate and up-to-date at all times; Liaise with clients and internal business units such as Technical Accounting, Claims and Underwriting regarding status of accounts in order to analyse and interpret performance of treaties and action as required.
Reporting - Consolidate commentary on investigations and findings to the Head of Business Acquisition & Development on a monthly basis or as required, and prepare report for quarterly board packs. Collate information and provide input and commentary for assigned clients for Exco and quarterly board meetings as required.
Training - Identify training needs, develop a training plan engage with stakeholders, present internal and external client training as needed, liaise with internal departments to assist with client training needs.
Non-client entities - Build and maintain relationships with global colleagues; regulators, industry associations and consultants.

You come equipped with
  • Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience within a life insurance or reinsurance environment
  • Computer skills - Advanced MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of technical requirements and creative problem solving skills
  • Proven track record of the application of actuarial principles and method
  • Proven track record to effectively engage and manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to problem-solve and contribute to team effectiveness
  • Ability to initiate and lead projects within required or agreed deadlines
  • Ability to critically assess and review own work done
